2. ASSESSMENT:
PW surrendered voluntarily. Was sincere and cooperative, but his information was limited. Not recommended for further interrogation.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
30 Oct 48 - PW was a truck driver in HOERYONG (會寧). Inducted into 3rd Div. Entered OCS training school as a driver. Received no military training since he was a driver.
9 Mar 50 - Entered P'YONGYANG Technical OCS.
12 Jun 50 - Commissioned Jr Lt and joined Transportation Bn of Ministry of War.
2 Jul 50 - Arrived KAESONG (開城) as a truck driver with 200 trucks (1st Transportation Bn).
4 Sep 50 - Arrived TAEJON. During trip 50 trucks were destroyed by aircraft and 100 trucks were destroyed at YONSAN (龍山) on north bank of HAN River. In TAEJON Bn transported rations, ammunition, casualties and equipment.
17 Sep 50 - Departed TAEJON, arrived KUMCH'ON. Abandoned two trucks beause of lack of gasoline. Duties same as in TAEJON.
20 Sep 50 - PW heard of the situation on NAKTONG River front. Saw large NKPA unit begin to retreat.
26 Sep 50 - Retreated to TAEJON. PW thought TAEJON was safety area.
27 Sep 50 - Bn CO ordered a retreat along TAEPAK Mountain Range. PW left his truck and went to POUN.
28 Sep 50 - Arrived POUN and found out that ROKA had cut off the route of withdrawal. 12 km N of POUN, PW surrendered to ROK 1st Div.

1 x US jeep (Bn CO)
Officers and NCO's were from N. KOREA. Truck drivers were South Korean conscripts.
1st Co and one plat from the Maintenance Co supported the 1st Div at TAEJON.
2nd Co and the other plt from the Maintenance Co supported the 15th Div.
