Food and Ammunition Supplies:
The army lived off the land. Ammunition for the 6th Div was transported at night mostly by horse-drawn wagons. Very few trucks.
One of the ammunition supply points for the 6th Div is located about 8 km W of CHINGDONG. The dump is a ravine on the right side of the road from CHINGDONG. Ammunition of all types stored here. Estimated amount: about 10 truck loads. The ammunition was camouflaged with freshly out chestnut branches which were changed daily. The informant believes that this supply point might have moved to P’YONGCH’ON.
The 6th Division had sufficient ammunition with the exception of LMG and HMG ammunition.

Replacements:
On/about 17 Jul 50, about 100 replacement troops from SEOUL arrived for the 1st Bn. The replacements were S. Koreans who were forced to join the army.
The 13th Regt (1st Regt) had 5 medical aidemen to each rifle company. There were no doctors to care for the wounded.
Lightly wounded troops walked to the rear. Heavily wounded were left on the field to look after themselves and if their unit advanced troops were dispatched after the battle to evacuated the wounded to the rear.
Medical facilities were inadequate. Each man carried 1 2 inch bandage roll.
Wounded troops, after recovery, were usually sent back to their original unit.
When separated from parent unit, the troops were told to join the adjacent unit until they were able to located their own.

Enemy Intentions:
The 6th Div was planning to take PUSAN via HAMAN and MASAN. The troops were told never to surrender because if they did, they were to be shot by UN Forces.

US PsW:
