Comments:1. PW had been shot through his left leg and had not yet received any medical treatment at the time he was brought into the interrogation room. He appeared to be suffering much pain. Interrogation was interrupted to permit the PW Camp doctor to examine him. He was found to have sustained a compound fracture of the leg and was immediately hospitalized. During the interrogation PW was evasive in this answers. As he appeared to be a man of rather low mentality, further interrogation would not probably be of much value.
2. Source was born in MANCHURIA, entered 166th Division of Chinese Communist Army in July 1949 as a volunteer. One Regiment (designation unknown of the 166th Division, strength about 1,000 all Koreans) came to NANAM on 25 Jul 49, 5 days after source entered 166th Division. All 1,000 men in Regiment entered 5th North Korean Division. Headquarters of 166th Division was located at SINKIANG, MANCHURIA. Source did not receive any training in MANCHUIRA.
