Movement of Unit:
PW was ordered to report to PYONGYANG on 5 July 1950. About 500 North Korean youths were assembled at a school, name unknown, and shipped by train to SEOUL. from SEOUL some of the men were put on trucks while others marched to PYONGTAEK. The trip took four days because the roads were so bad, and travel was done intermittenly during day. At PYONGTAEK, the men were issued uniforms and equipment and given one day of rest. Following this on 13 July, men attached to the 5th Regiment including the PW, marched to KONGJU and TAEJON, at which point the other units of the 5th Regiment were waiting. Then the entire Regiment marched and rode on trucks (one night) to reach KOCHAGN. From there, the men marched at night and four nights lator arrived at the location where PW was captured.
