Information limited.
Military History:Inducted 15 Jul 50, SEOUL. CHAEDONG Primary school. 3 hours of closed order drill at SEOUL. Departed SEOUL 18 Jul 50, with a unit of 420 men as replacements for the 1st Div by way of YOJU, CHANGHOWON, CHUNGJU & MUNG’YONG. In MUNG’YONG (1100-1540) all the replacements were issued rifles but no rounds and assigned to carious units in the 1st Div.
PW remained in MUNG’YONG for five days. During this period, they were attacked by the ROK Army and 50 men were killed and 30 wounded. PW and a few others buried all the dead. All the rifles, ammunition and shoes of the dead were salvaged for future use. Departed MUNG’YONG and arrived CHOMCH’OK-NI (1110-1520) and was pinned down by the ROK Army for 2 days. Departed for HAMCH’ANG (1110-1520) from CHOMCH’ON-NI Area. PW’s Co remained in HAMCH’ANG to guard a convey of trucks. Did not know the load the convey was carrying. Went on to KUNWI (1150-1410) to rejoin the 1st Div. At KUNWI PW was issued 30 rounds and was to go out with the 1st squad to look for food. When they were about 5 km S of KUNWI, his squad was ambushed and he was the only one captured. The fate of the rest of the men in the squad was unknown.

Capability of Unit:Morale was low due to many being conscripted into the Army.
