Evaluation:
PW unintelligent and of poor memory, information is considered reliable.

Military History:
Inducted at SONGJIN (城津) Training Center 19 Mar 50. Received 2 months basic training. PW was assigned to the 12th Regt after the completion of basic training.
The 12th Regt left SONGJIN 16 Jun 50, reached KUMWHA on/about 10 Jul 50. PW did not know what happened to the other units of the 15th Division. Departed KUMHWA, date unknown - marched - arrived CHUNGJU, date unknown. Departed CHUNGJU - date unknown - marched - arrived - 12 km W of T’AEGU - 15 Aug 50.
PW and 5 others were separated from their unit after the 12th Regt crossed the NAKTONG River. PW was captured by the ROK troops at a point approx 12 km W of T’AEGU.

3rd Bn: CHANG, SOK KI (장석기) Capt; about 35 yrs

Foreign Elements:
PW heard from his Co CO that N. Koreans equivalent to a division strength who were formerly with the CCF came back to N. Korean in Apr 50.

Weapons and Personnel:
Company - 150 men, 3 rifle platoons and 1 HMG platoon
Rifle Platoon - 40 men, 4 x LMG’s.
HMG Platoon - about 8 men 4 x HMG’s.

Armor:
Observed 1 x t-34 tank at approx 40 km NW of T’AEGU on/about 14 Aug 50.

Artillery:
Observed 5 x guns (similar to 100-mm AT Gun) at approx 40 km NW of T’AEGU on/about 14 Aug 50.

Supplies:
Received 150 rounds of ammunition on/about 15 Jul 50.

Enemy Intentions:
Objective of 12th Regt was T’AEGU.

Additional Information:
PW heard that the 12th Regt was assigned to the 15th Div. The regiment was designated the 12th Regt after crossing the 38° parallel.
