On 171700 K Aug 50 PW’s unit (9th Co) was attacked by ROK 18th Regt. After fighting for one hour PW was captured. PW was captured while aiding wounded troops of his unit.

Weapons and Personnel:Company - 50 men, Platoon - 20-30 men, Squad - 7 to 10 men. Riflemen armed with M1891/30 rifles, 100 rounds, two grenades, Sqd ldrs: submachine guns, one 71 round drum. Officers: TOKAREV M1933 pistols. Company 1 x HMG, 5 LMG and 2 x 120mm mortars. Casualties 4th sqd, 2nd Plt - 5 men, 2 x LMG. No replacement men or equipment (17 Aug 50).
Armor:Observed 2 x T-34/85 tanks at POHANG DONG 9 Aug 50.
Artillery:Observed 2 x 76mm guns at KIGYE 15 Aug 50.
Vehicles:Observed one GAZ-51 truck hauling a 76mm gun at KIGYE 17 Aug 50.
Supplies:PW received two rice balls a day. Food located from farmers. Ammunition last received at KIGYE 17 Aug 50. (27 rounds per man). PW stated that since their supply route was out they did not receive and supplies after Aug 50. Source of supplied unknown.
Enemy Intentions:The objective of 7th Div was TAEGU.
