PW was fairly cooperative but locked intelligence
Military History:Inducted 2 Feb 50 at KANSONG (杆城). Trained at KANSONG, basic training for 1½ months. Transferred to YANGYANG for 3½ months for training. Departed YANGYANG on foot 5 Jul 50 for KANGNUNG (1150-1660), arrival date unknown. Stayed in KANGNUNG 5 day in the mountains concealed from aircraft. Departed KANGNUNG, travelled by night, arrived ANDONG (1160-1520) 9 Aug 50. No activity at ANDONG so his unit went on to UISONG (1160-1490). At UISONG, engaged ROK troops, and 150 men in his battalion were killed by artillery. 150 men proceeded to KUKTO Mt (about 8 km S of UISONG), engaged ROK troops again. PW was captured 18 Aug 50.

Vehicles:Many vehicles were observed on the road to UISONG (義城). All damaged. No way of transporting ammunition and supplies. No trucks available in 8th Division.
Supplies:Average of 2 rice balls a day.
Ammunition supplies limited due to lack of transportation.
Enemy Intentions:5th Division’s objective - T’AEGU.
