Evaluation:
PW was not intelligent and his information was limited. Reliability - fair.

Military History:
Inducted 24 Aug 49 at NANAM Training Center. Received basic training (close order drill and manual of arms with wooden rifles) for 4 months.
Attached to 5th Div, 11th Regt, 3rd Bn, 9th Co, 3rd Plt, 4th Sqd on 24 Dec 49. Until 5 May 50, PW took care of 2 hourses which were used for hauling food and wood. 5th Div moved to YANGYANG (襄陽) 19 Jun 50 by train. At YANGYANG, the 2nd Bn was separated from the rest of the 5th Div.
Following is the movement of the 2nd Bn:
Departed SACH’ANG-NI - date unknown - marched - arrived SAMCH’OK (三陟) date unknown.
Departed SAMCH’OK - date unknown - marched - arrived YONGDOK (寧德) date unknown.
Departed YONGDOK - date unknown - marched - arrived P’OHANG-DONG on/about 10 Aug 50.
PW was separated from his unit when they encountered ROK troops at a mountain 12 km S of P’OHANG-DONG 17 Aug 50. PW was not able toe retreat with his unit and was captured by ROK troops 17 Aug.

Ate 3 times a day. Begged rice from farmers. Received 100 rounds of ammunition when they left NANAM.
