Military History:
Inducted 2 Jul 50 at SEOUL. Informant and 2,500 other South Koreans marched southward (Departed SEOUL 12 Jul 50) via SUWON, P’YONGTAEK, CHONAN, TAEJON, and NAMWON arriving at CHINJU on 14 Aug 50. Informant and 2,000 others joined the 6th Div at CHINJU on 14 Aug 50. 6th Div reorganized on 16 Aug 50. PW’s company ambushed by US Force near CHINDON-NI 18 Aug 50. Informant was wounded and captured.

Artillery:
14 x truck drawn artillery pieces (type and size unknown) abserved 22 Jul 50 heading south between CHONAN and P’YONGTAEK.

Supplies:
14 Aug 50, observed South Korean civilians carrying small arms ammo (on back in bundles camouflages with arass) 15 km E of CHINJU during daytime.

Capabilities of Unit:
Replacements: Approximately 2,000 South Koreans drafted by North Korean Army joined the 6th Division near CHINGJU on 14 Aug 50 as replacements.
Captured equipment: Pile - 5m x 5m x 5m of US Army 75mm shells observed at P’YONGTAEK 23 Jul 50.

Civilian Attitude:
When a North Korean tank unit entered SEOUL (date unk), South Korean people lined the street to cheer. One man was not cheering and as he turned to walk away he was shot in the back by a tanker.

Enemy Intentions:
All men were told never to surrender.
