3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Medical EEI:
Infantry Div - 1 Medical Bn
Approx 100 persons (75% men and 25% women) commanded by a Lt Col. There were 6 medical officers in the battalion.
Only those with light wounds were given treatment at the division medical bn. Seriously wounded patients were sent to the rear by truck.
Medical Equipment and Supplies:
There was no shortage of medical equipment. Make of medical equipment unknown. There were enough medical supplies including medicines. Most of the medicines were manufactured in North Korea, however, a few came from Russia. Medical equipment was comparatively new. Nothing was lacking in the hospital,
Cholera:
No information.
Chemical Warfare:
Hospital personnel did not received instructions in the care of gas casualties. No further information along medical lines.
