Inducted 31 Jul 50 in YONGGANG (龍岡). Basic training 7 days. Marched 3 hours daily, close order drill, 5 hous a day, calesthenics 1 hour a day.
Departed YONGGANG - 7 Aug 50 - train - arrived MUNSAN (汶山) 9 Aug 50.
Departed MUNSAN - 9 Aug 50 - marched - arrived SEOUL - 10 Aug 50.
Departed SEOUL - 11 Aug 50 - marched - arrived CH'UNGJU (忠州) 15 Aug 50.
Departed CH'UNGJU - 16 Aug 50 - marched - arrived MUN'GYONG (聞慶) 19 Aug 50.
Departed MUN'GYONG - 19 Aug 50 - marched - arrived NAKTONG-NI (洛東里) - 22 Aug 50.
Departed NAKTONG-NI - 22 Aug 50 - marched - arrived CHONDONG (田洞) 27 Aug 50. Weapons issued on 31 Aug 50, after one day battle was captured by ROK.

Capability of Unit:
Morale, very high when departed SEOUL. Was told that TAEGU and PUSAN was in Communist hands. Arrived NAKTONG-NI, morale became low, no rood, ammunition, excessive fatigue and fire power of ROK had an adverse effect. Unit was strafed 3 days out of 5 days. No casualties.

Supplies:
SEOUL to NAKTONG-NI, no food supplied. Confiscated from villages and towns.
Ammunition was supplied at CHONDONG. 150 rounds per man.

Enemy Intention:
PW was told that the objective was TAEGU by the platoon leader.

Airfields:
Saw airfield in YONGGANG (approx 12 km N of CHINNAMP’O) (鎭南浦) One runway approx 25 meters wide, 500 meters long. No planes. Runway and 5 cement hangars in good condition.
