a. Chronology:
1 Oct 50: Conscripted into the 47th Div, 3rd Regt at SINUIJU (新義州).
18 Oct 50: 47th Div moved to SONCH’ON (宣川)
24 Oct 50: PW as Assistant Chief of Supply arrived at SONCH’ON.
30 Oct 50: Arrived YONGBYON (寧邊). Engaged UN Forces until 4 Nov 50. However, PW was in rear echelon taking charge of supply.
5 Nov 50: 47th Div was relieved by 105th Div, and departed for SAKCHU (朔州).
7 Nov 50: Arrived SAKCHU, rested for approx three weeks.
8 Dec 50: Arrived P’YONGYANG (平壤) after receiving an order from higher headquarters to leave SAKCHU. Purpose was to defend P’YONGYANG.
17 Dec 50: Received orders to advance to the 38th parallel.
5 Jan 51: Arrived SEOUL. Three days later, departed SEOUL, headed for INCH’ON (仁川). Brought supply of rice (1,500 SHO (升)) (270 litre) to Engineer Bn, directly under 47th Div.
3 Feb 51: Received orders to move to YONGDUNGP’O (永登浦) after receiving information that UN Forces would attack soon.
9 Feb 51: While transporting supplies to YONGDUNGP’O, PW and one man were captured.
b. UN PW:
Saw one US PW at SEOUL, held prisoner by I Corps. Saw three British PW having lunch at NAMSAN (南山) in SEOUL.
