Brief account of capture: Did not like the idea of invading S KOREA so he gave himself up.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:a. Chronology:
5 Aug 50, the PW was attending 3rd year at WONSAN NON NON OP College. He was drafted.
12 Aug 50, arrived in SEOUL and then received the instruction concerning office work from Sr Captain. Completed this instruction on 25 Aug 50.
28 Aug 50, left SEOUL and went to NAM YAN. Stayed until 15 Aug 50.
17 Sep 50, 27th Bn left NAN YAN arrived SAN NAN RI NE. Here the 27th was reorganized with the 32nd Bn and was called the 32nd Bn of 107 Reg’t. In the morning of 21 Sep 50, 32nd Bn came to KIMPO front line.

Two (2) Companies of 60 mm Artillery
680 men in 32nd Bn.

400 men in a Bn

e. Unit History:
Since the Inf Companies were dispatched to TAI PU Island on 10 Sep 50 and further loss incurred by UN air attack, the 27th and 32nd Bns were consolidated into the above mentioned 32nd Bn.
f. Disposition:
Ammo Dumps were located in heart of NAM YAN Village in a private home.
g. Intention:
Reinforcement was believed to be impossible. Evacuation was believed to be to KASONG.
h. Knowledge of other units:
31st Bn of 107th Reg’t was in KAN WHAN DO.
33rd Bn of 107th Reg’t was in KASON.

107th Reg’t Commander was KIA in KIMPO on 21 Sep 50.
Bn Commander: PAK KOM NAN, Maj, Age 27.
j. Morale and Propaganda:
Morale was vary low.
4. REMARKS:POW heard that 150 American PW’s are in PYONG ANG NAN DO.
