Subject seemed to be below average intelligence. lie was cooperative.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:PW was conscripted into the 17th Regt at CHUL WON (鉄原) on 25 July 50 and received basic training there. The 17th Regt was stationed at CHUL WON (鉄原).
The Ind Bn of the 17th Regt left CHUL WON (鉄原) 10 Aug 50 and arrived SEOUL on 11 Aug 50. As soon as the Bn arrived in SEOUL, it was reorganized and one portion of it together with other unit was made up into an Ind AA Gun Bn.
The Ind AA Bn left NAM ZAN (南山) in SEOUL on 17 Sep 50 and arrived YONG DONG PO (永登浦) the same day.
While this Bn was engaged here, subject deserted. What became of the unit is unknown.
The Ind AA Gun Bn was composed of 2 companies (1st and 2nd) with 3 platoons in each company. Besides these 3 platoons, there was a Headquarters platoon. There were 35 men in each platoon. Subject believes the strength of the battalion to be approx 250 men.
4. WEAPONS:Subject observed 3 AA guns and 3 AA machine guns in the unit.
