2. EVALUATION:
Subject seemed intelligent. He was cooperative and talked freely. Reliability - Fair.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Subject was forcibly inducted into the 70th Regt at SINUIJU (新義州) on 3 Sep 50. This unit was called the “565” Unit.
70th Regt left SINUIJU (新義州) on 5 Sep 50 for INCHON.
Arrived SUWON (水原) on 11 Sep 50. 70th Regt redesiganted 3rd Regt, 18th Div at SUWON (水原).
3rd Regt left SUWON 18 Sep 50 for INCHON.
Subject heard that the 1st Bn and 2nd Bn of the Regt were engaged near INCHON and the 1st Bn was believed to have been wiped out. The 2nd Bn was believed to have retreated with great losses of personnel.

5. WEAPONS:
Subject observed only 3 mortars in the 3rd Regt. No Arty or tanks. Basic load of each was a rifle and 40 rds of ammo.

6. SPECIAL INFORMATION:
Subject believed approx 20,000 CCF were in SINUIJU (新義州) area when subject was stationed there on 5 Sep 50.
These CCF troops were moved in here o/a 16 Jun 50 from MANCHURIA.
Subject did not observe any tanks around SINUIJU (新義州) prior to the outbreak of the Korean conflict. However, as soon as the war stared, great numbers of Russian made tanks (at least 500 to 700) were shipped in from MANCHURIA to SINUIJU (新義州).
Since subject was stationed near RR he observed at least 2 train loads of tanks daily. Each train consisted of 15 cars, each car conveying 1 tank.
This observation was over a period of about 15 days. Subject also observed approx 5000 2½T Russian made trucks being shipped in.
Uniform of CCF troops is nearly identical to that of the NK troops. However, CCF troops wear yellowish white caps with () insignia.
CCF troops also wear tight fitting trousers while NK troops wear baggy trousers.
