3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:PW was inducted into the PW was iniucted into the service on 11 Aug 50 at SHINIJU. He had his training there for three (3) days. On 26 Aug 50 left SHINIJU, came to SEOUL where stayed there for three (3) days. After that his unit was dispatched to PULCHAM. Half of the 43rd Regiment came to the INCHON front. This group possessed five (5) tanks and automatic rifles. Tanks and most of the men were annihilated. 42nd Regimental and Battalion Commanders came to the front in one of the tanks and he believes they were also killed in action.
a. Original organization and strength: 524 men.
b. Actual battle organization and strength: 250 men.
c. Unit duties: To defend SEOUL and INCHON.
d. Disposition: Half of the 42nd Regiment was in INCHON area but was annihilated and other half of the unit was in PULCHAM.
e. Intention: The PW heard evacuation area will be at SEOUL.
f. Personalities: Regimental Commander, Lt Col (name unknown) 27 or 28 years old, 5' 7" tall, slim.
g. Morale and Propaganda: Morale was very low.
4. GENERAL:Thirteen (13) tanks came from SHINIJU, however, all of these tanks did not cross the HAN River. Exact location of crossing point was unknown.
