1. PERSONAL DETAILS:

2. ASSESSMENT:
Subject was cooperative but had limited information, Information herein can be considered reliable.

3. REMARKS:
Subject was inducted in the army on 18 Aug 50, and was attached to the 70th Regt, 2nd Bn at SINUIJU where he and other conscripts received two week's basic training. After the training was over, they were sent to SUWON. Approx date of departure was 29 Aug 50. They reached SUWON on 15 Sep 50.
From SINUIJU to KOESONG they rode on train while from KOESONG to SUWON they marched.
The strength of this unit was estimated at 4,000 men. They were armed with US rifles and Russian rifles. Each individual had 50 rounds of ammunition issued to him.
The 1st and 3rd Bns of the 70th Regt was sent to the INCHON area while his unit (2nd Bn) was stationed at ANSAN. Subject engaged in guard duty. The morale of his unit was low because the men received only one-two meals per day.
There were no tanks attached to this unit nor were hand grenades issued.
The name of the commanding officer was unknown. Subject heard that this unit was armed with mortars but the number of mortars was not known. Approx 18 men were attached to the 1st Platoon of the heavy weapon company. The ammo dumps for the 70th Regt were located on the foot hill of a mountain, exact location unknown.
