The unit the PW was in was a Brigade. This Brigade was composed of 6 Battalions. Upon entering Seoul, this Brigade and other units combined, forming the 18th Division. On 15 Sep 50, the 18th Division moved to YONGDONGPO. On this date, the 18th Division Headquarters was located at SEOUL (see sketch (a) for 18th Division organization).
Actual Battle Organization: PW stated the 2nd Regiment came as far as 7 miles E of INCHON. This 2nd Regiment was composed of 3 Battalions (all riflemen and strength of one battalion was 300 to 400 men).
The 4th Regiment which was the Mortar Regiment came toward INCHON from SEOUL and dug in the hills approximately 3 miles behind the 2nd Regiment (strength unknown).
