Turned himself in to Youth Corps at PUPYONG on 17 September.
3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:a. Chronology:
Inducted at SONGJIN in JuIy 1949 and trained for a month. Came to SEOUL on 17 August and after three days started for SUWAN and arrived there on 24 August. 5 days later came to KlMPO via YONGDUNGPO. CP came 1 day earlier.
b. Unit Organization and Strength:
(1) Original organization and strength:
107th Regt had four (4) Battalions, each with four (4) companies. Each Company had 4 platoons.
One Platoon consisted of 50 men.
One Battalion consisted of 800 men.
One Regiment consisted of 3,200 men.
(2) Actual battle organization and strength (same as above).
(3) Last known composition of unit (same as above).
c. Weapons: Eight (8) 45mm Anti-tank guns per Battalion.
1 rifle per man. Saw two (2) machine guns. (type unk)
d. Unit Duties: Presumably to guard the harbor.
e. Important Tactical Information:
(1) 31st Bn and Heavy Weapons Bn - YANGWHA DO 1,600 men, two (2) Maxims Guns, eight (8) 45mm guns and rifles.
(2) 27th Battalion at PUPYONG was with Regt CP at KIMPO Airfield.
(3) 32nd Bn at JOBU DO went straight there from SEOUL.
f. Communications: Telephone lines to SEOUL was very bad.
g. Personalities:
(1) Own Unit: 107th Regt CO is CHE, HAN; rank is Lt Col.
h. Bad morale throughout. Leaflets were dropped but troops were afraid to pass them to their friends.
