a. Chronology:
4 Jul 50 inducted into the NK Army from “Korean College.” PW went to Officers Training School for approximately 18 days learning mortars, (82mm). Graduated school as 2nd Lt at HEIJO KOREA, 22 Jul 50. PW went "CHOL WON, KOREA,“ Stayed approximately 15 days, then came to KEIJO (SEOUL) KOREA. 26 Aug 50 PW came to INCHON with his 3rd Bn. In INCHON PW was platoon leader of 18 mortar men.
b. Unit Organization and Strength:
(1) Original organization and strength: 3000.
(2) Actual battle organization and strength: 3 Bn came to INCHON. (Approx 700m)
c. Equipment:
Following weapons were used in the 3rd Bn:
9 Mortars (82mm)
60 PPSH SMG
LMG
Rifle
100 Rds rifle ammo per person
Hand grenade.
d. Unit Duties:
To defend the coastal area.
e. Unit History:
The 1st Regt was called 3rd Bn after the PW and unit came to INCHON.
f. Communication:
1 telephone to Co.
g. Intentions:
Only to watch the Inchon coastal area. No further orders were given to this unit.
h. Personalities:
