Informant was cooperative and talked freely during interrogation period. Information given by informant seemed to be reliable.
3. REMARKS:Subject was drafted at SINUIJU (新義州) on 27 July 50 and received basic training for one week. Then the Regt moved to SOHA (石下). At SOHA subject received two weeks training as wireless operator. On 29 Aug 50 the 70th Regt left SOHA and arrived at SUWON (水原) on 12 Sept 50. As soon as they heard that the UN forces had invaded at INCHON, they moved to ANSAN (安山) on 18 Sept 50. They met the 32nd Inf approximately 8 km NW of ANSAN. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd Bns of the 70th Regt engaged in battle, but the Communications company remained at the rear.
At 1100, 20 Sep 50 the 70th Regt started to retreat to SUWON. Subject voluntarily surrendered to 32nd Inf on 22 Sept 50.
Strength of the 70th Regt was unknown. However strength of the regimental headquarters was approximately 600 men.
Subject heard from his company commander when he was in SINUIJU (新義州) that the MO TEHK TON’s 200,000 CCF are ready to reinforce the N.K. Amy.
