PW physical condition: Good, six (6) years primary school. PW was a farmer.
3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:a. Chronology:
Inducted 27 July 1950. Training received at CHOLWON and YONGDONG PO as rifleman for one (1) month.
b. Unit Organization and Strength:
(1) Original organization and strength: PW's 2d Battalion: five hundred (500) men, 3rd Company: ninety three (93) men; 2d Platoon: twenty three (23) men; 1st Squad: eight (8) men.
(2) Actual Battle Organization and Strength: About five hundred (500) men.
c. Equipment:
(1) In Battalion: about fifteen (15) heavy machine guns.
(2) Bach Squad had one (1) light machine gun and eight (8) rifles.
d. Unit History: PW's battalion organized at CHOLWON about end of July 1950.
e. Disposition: PW's division headquarters and regimental headquarters was located somewhere in SEOUL. Ammunition and ration dumps located in SEOUL.
f. Communications: The road from INCHON to SEOUL is about six (6) or seven (7) meters wide and road condition was good.
g. Knowledge of Other Units: PW saw about ten (10) heavy tanks in SEOUL and PW also heard that some tanks and some unit were coming for reinforcement.
h. Personalities:
(1) Own unit: Commanding officer, PARK Pyon Son, 5' 8" in height. 3rd Company Commander, RE In Gil, 5' 3" in height.
i. Morale and Propaganda: Morale was low.
