3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
15 Jan 51 - With 400 ROK, captured by a CCF unit at KAPYONG.
6 Feb 51 - With 600 ROK PW, escorted by 80 CCF guards, was turned over to NKA 6th Div Hq at HWACHON. ROK PW were immediately assigned to units of the div. Approx 200 assigned to 15th Regt (20 to 5th Co). After dark div departed HWACHON on foot.
16 Feb 51 - Arrived ANHUNG where units received 5 days of anti-US propaganda indoctrination. Completing the course, former ROK were all issued type 38 Jap rifles w/100 rd ammo at Hq and told they would be utilized as security troops in captured towns. Also informed that CCF and NKA units were making their final push in vicinity of PUSAN and would capture the city shortly.
2 Mar 51 - 15th Regt engaged UN troops in vicinity of ANHUNG. During engagement 5th Co CO, 3d Plat ldrs, and sqd ldrs were killed in action. Original strength of 5th Co 80 men decreased, to 15 men, including 10 ex-ROK.
3 Mar 51 - Early during this day PW and 12 men (of above 15), including two originally NK soldiers escaped and were later captured (claims to have surrendered) by 9th Inf in ANHUNG.

b. Organization
6th NK Div consisted of 7th, 15th, and one other regt. 15th Regt consisted of 1st, 2d, and 3d Bn. 2d Bn consisted of 4th, 5th, and 6th Rifle Co, a mortar co and a HMG co.

d. Supply
While enroute to ANHUNG observed on two occasions two Russian-made, Chinese-operated, supply trucks headed S towards CHUNCHON. The first truck observed 062100 Feb 51 vic of SINPURI (CT 8219) on main road (2½ meter wide dirt road) leading from HWACHON to CHUNCHON. The second truck observed 092200 Feb 51 of UDURI (CS9096) headed S on main road to CHUNCHON. On above date (23:00) observed 30 oxen (loads of clothing tied on back) on same road, headed towards CHUNCHON. These oxen led by NK soldiers and civilians.
