10 Oct 50: Inducted at WONSAN and was assigned to an unk unit.
2 Oct 50: Dep WONSAN.
Late Nov 50: Arr 8 km S of MANP’OJIN. PW was reassigned to HMG Plat, 8th Co, 3d Bn, 3d Regt, 1st Div, III Corps. The 3d Regt received political and basic training of approx one month.
PW observed 1st and 3d Regt of 15th Div also receiving training in vic of 3d Regt.
Early Dec 50: 3d Regt was sent to 12 km S of MANP’OJIN and received 15 days of addition trng.
PW heard 1st and 2d Regt of 15th Div dep MANP’OJIN this time. (7-8 Nov 50)
Mid Dec 50: 3d Regt dep training area after receiving 5 days’ rations and also 150 rd of rifle ammo.
Early Jan 51: 3d Regt arr CHUIRI (4 km S of CHANGDO-RI, CT 8463) via HONGWON, HA■HUNG and WONSAN thru mountain passes.
3d Regt received 20 day’s political and military trng.
Early Feb 51: 3d Regt de CHUIRI
20 Feb 51: Arr vic of SAEMAL
24 Feb 51: PW deserted at SAEMAL while 3d Regt began retreating north. (Whereabouts of 3d Regt unknown at that time.)
27 Feb 51: PW surrendered.
