Captured by “E” Co, 19th RCT. Good physical condition at time of interrogation. Appeared to be of below average intelligence (illiterate). Joined CCF in Jul 50. Was never in CNA. Information considered doubtful. Not recommended for further interrogation.

1st Co arrived 1 km N of place of capture 10 days ago. His sqd (8 men) dispatched to Hill 174 CS 643552 daily for security measures. 1st Bn has been in reserve for 10 days. 2d Co of 1st Bn located W of 1st Co position. 3d Co further N of 2d Co positions. 2d Bn, 337th Regt to their W. 339th Regt situated W of 337th Regt. 112th Div in reserve awaiting replacements.

38th Army: 112th, 113th and 114th Div. 113th Div: 337th, 338th and 339th Regt. 337th Regt: 3 Inf Bn. 1st Bn: 3 Inf Co, 1 HMG Co.

e. Morale:
Morale very low. Many exhausted and feel they are fighting a fruitless war. Recently officers seem to have suffered a drop in morale.

PW had a Safe Conduct leaflet in his possession but was in doubt of the promises stated. Majority have no reaction towards leaflets.
g. Replacements:
Overheard officers state that an unk field army will replace present 4th Field Army now in KOREA.
