Captured by elements of 3d Bn, 21st RCT. Suffering from wound on left shoulder received by S/A fire 071400 Mar 51. Cooperative but of below average intelligence. Information should be assessed accordingly. MP prior to being assigned to present duty.
a. Chronology:
15 days ago the 2d Sqd (Hvy Wpns Co) composed of 11 men was attached to 337th Regt Hq Security Co. 5 days ago 2 inf Sqd (Hq Security Co) and the 2d Sqd dug in vicd CS 697533 and told to defend this position at all cost. Received heavy air and arty fire all day on 7 Mar 51.
080600 Mar 51 337th Regt Hq Security Co ordered to withdraw to higher grounds. Due to wound unable to withdraw with his unit.

1 month ago heard from political leader that elements of 27th Group or Unit “ERCHI-TUI” ( ) is presently in KOREA to reinforce CCF in KOREA.
f. UN PW:
Observed 20 US PW at P’YONGYANG 2 months ago. Also at this time heard from political leader that 3000 US PW captured.
