PW in good physical condition. Cooperative and of average intelligence. information obtained considered fairly reliable. PW surrendered voluntarily to 2nd Bn, 19th RCT 041200 Feb 51.
a. Chronology:
PW formerly Cpl in the Nationalist Army. Captured by CCF at KWAN SHI SHUN NAK GWAN Nov 50. Immediately assigned 38th Army, 112th Div, 335th Regt, 3rd Bn, 7th Co. In Oct 50, 38th Army crossed into Korea at MANPOJIN. Arrived 38th parallel latter part Dec 50. 335th Regt crossed parallel 1 Jan 51. 112th Div reached HAN River 12 km from SEOUL approx 25 days ago. Heard 113th and 114th Divisions located South of 112th Div on North side of HAN River. 112th Div crossed HAN River approx 27 days ago. Div stayed at location approx 16 km South of HAN River (direction unk) for approx one half month. Div moved to YANGCHON-NI, arriving 8 days ago. 1st and 3rd Bn (112th Div) took positions 3 days ago approx 2 km from CS 633456 and 1 night march from YANGCHON-NI. 2nd Bn located 4 km right of 3rd Bn. 1st Bn located on left of 3rd Bn. PW believes 334th and 336th Regt still in YANGCHON-NI. Believes 335th Regt Hqs presently located approx 4 km behind 1st and 3rd Bn positions. PW was told to hold position at all cost. Believes 113th and 114th Div still located North of HAN River (located unk). 4 Feb 51 PW deserted his unit and voluntarily surrendered to 2nd Bn, 19th RCT.

Supplied with ammo left behind by UN Forces.
e. Intentions:
All CCF troops to hold positions at all costs until spring. New offensive to start in spring.
f. Other Units:
PW heard that 38th, 39th and 40th Armies compose Field Army. Also heard 42nd, 45th, 50th and 52nd Armies are in Korea. Further heard 49th and 50th Armies are South of 38th parallel.
g. Tactics:
Wait until the UN Forces are within grenade throwing distance before opening fire.
a. UN Prisoners:
Observed US PW twice while North of parallel. Heard healthy PW were to be sent to China.
b. Propaganda Leaflets:
PW has seen and picked up leaflets. Tried to desert twice but failed both times.
c. Morale:
Morale low among troops due to Arty bombardments and frostbitten feet. 50 percent of CCF troops have no desire to fight and want to surrender.
