3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
Nov 44 - Went to MANCHURIA from KOREA.
Nov 44 - Oct 47 - Lived in TUNGHUA (通化). Worked as a communication equipment repairman at the TUNGHWA Post Office.
Oct 47 - Apr 48 - Lived in MAI HO KO’U (梅河口). Worked as a communication equipment repairman at the telephone exchange.
Apr 48 - Apr 49 - Resided in LIN CHIANG (臨江). Worked as a communication equipment repairman at the telephone exchange.
Apr 49 - Dec 49 - Lived in TUNGHUA. Was employed at the post office as a repairman.
Dec 49 - Mar 50 - Inducted in the CCF and was stationed in MUKDEN.

STRATEGIC INFORMATION:
YAL LENG CHANG ARSENAL (12 km W of MUKDEN) (Sketch A)
Building #1 - Administration Building and Telephone Exchange: PW visited Arsenal Plant Administration Building on 4 occasions to do repair work on telephones. Last visit was in Mar 50.
Size of Arsenal 3 km diameter. Great number of personnel are employed on three 8 - hour shifts. Exact number of personnel is unknown. However, PW thinks there are over 10,000 men. 100 buildings or more. Many Russians employee. Most of them are highly skilled advisors (civilian personnel). Highly skilled Japanese technicians are also employed. Chinese and Korean are used as laborers. However a few Chinese and Korean skilled technicians are employed in important positions.
Building #3 - Storage Space for Newly-made Steel. Separated into 5 groups - A to E. A represents the best grade steel, and so on down to E, which is the poorest grade.
Building #5 - Electric Power Plant. Supplies entire Arsenal Plant. Capacity of Electric Plant, unknown.
Building #6 - Smelting of Iron and Gold Ores.
Single strand barb wire installed about a foot above brick wall around Arsenal Plant. Highly charged with electricity. Voltage, unknown. However, anyone touching wire is killed instantly.
Building 244-7-8-9-10-11-12: There are many more but PW knows only this area. These buildings are definitely used in manufacturing of 60 and 82-mm Mortars, ammunition for small and heavy field pieces, repairing tanks, aircrafts and light and heavy weapons. However, PW cannot give the exact building where each type of work is produced.
This Arsenal Plant is highly guarded by CCF personnel and everything within this plant are regarded as top secret.

DETAILS OF AIRSTRIP (Sketch B)
During the Japanese occupation of MANCHURIA, the airstrip was used for small aircraft. Fighters and light passenger planes. Only Section #1 was the airstrip.
During the occupation of MANCHURIA by the CCF #2 and #3 were built: Formerly runway was of asphalt. CCF dug asphalt out and made comment runway. Airstrip could handle large bombers and all heavy aircraft. This airstrip last observed in 47.
