2. ASSESSMENT:
Cooperative, however information is limited because PW did not travel much in MANCHURIA.

Chronology:
Oct 36: Moved to HAILUNG (海龍), MANCHURIA with family at the age of 12. Attended Chinese school in YUNGHSING TS’UN Grammar school (永興村國民學校) for 1½ yr.
1944: Visited the largest coal mine in HSIAN (西安) MANTURIA. This coal mine employed 20,000 men in 3 x 8 hr shifts daily. Coal used mostly by large factories and power plants. Also observed a large hydro-electric power plant in SIAN. Produces electricity for coal mine and four large cities within the radius of 50-60 km. See sketch for location of mine and hydroelectric plant.
1945: Moved back to KOREA with mother, father remaining in HAILUNG, MANCHURIA.
23 Aug 50: Inducted in NKA in P’YONGYANG.
