PW was badly wounded. PW was cooperative and of average intelligence. Information considered fairly reliable.
a. Chronology:
PW Rcn Co (100 - 115 men) departed CHUNSAN-NI 131900 Feb which PW stated is located approx 28 km generally N of Hill 473. Mission of Rcn Co was to relieve a battalion of the 38th Army.
Rcn Co arrived at Bn position on 142100 Feb and contacted UN forces on 150100 Feb. 34th Rcn Co, 3rd Div (114th Div?), 38th Army arrived 1 day earlier and relived half of the Bn. Bn strength estimated at approx 340 men and received heave Arty and mortar fire 151300 Feb. PW observed 1 - KIA, 6 - WIA from Sqd. Co retreated 151800 - 151900 Feb leaving PW behind. No knowledge of location after withdrawal. Another Bn was located approx 2 km E of Co position.
