PW was cooperative and willing-info fairly reliable. Not recommended for further interrogation.
10th Div under the II Corps consisted of the 25th, 27th, 29th and the Engr Bn. Engr Bn consisted of a Kyodo Co (NCO training Co), 1st Co and 2nd Co; approx 40 men in each Co.
At HWACHON 10th Div received some replacements just before moving South of 38th Parallel.
Each Rifle Regt had a Communication Bn, Transportation Co, Medical Co, Engr Bn and a Recon Co.
Each Bn was issued 40 wooden AT mines at HWACHON. PW never saw mine used. The mine made of wood is approx 12” square 6” deep.
Frost bite:
Heard in PW’s unit 10-20% had frost bitten feet and were hardly able to walk.
