PW was wounded but information obtained was given willingly and quite reliable. Interrogation was conducted under limited condition and time.

6 Jan 51, 1700 hrs 7th Regt (600 men) left HOENGSONG, taking main road leading to WONJU (along t■■n NAN MUL) with the 14th Regt (7-800 men) on their left flank and 32nd Regt (8-900 men) on right flank. 27th Div’s mission was to take WONJU by daybreak 7 Jan 51. 0130 1st Bn of 7th Regt arrived approx 1000 meters from WONJU along main road. They waited until 0400 to enter city. They advanced with 1st Co and 2nd Co abreast with 3rd Co approx 100 meters in rear and Bn Hq following 500 meters.
They were able to avoid US troops on Defense Perimeter because each company made a reconnaissance of US position and worked their way around behind them.
PW believes the 9th Div and 6th Div are following behind them.
After leaving HOENGSONG (DS1149) at 1700 hrs 6 Jan 51, 7th Regt followed a road passing through villages without going around to avoid observation.
Believes 14th and 32nd Regt by-passed WONJU, objective unknown.
27th Div CP located 5000 meters N of WONJU; strength 6000 crossed 38th parallel 25 Dec 50 straight South to HOENGSONG.
