5. EFFECTIVE UN WEAPONS:
a. Most feared weapons were the US air napalm bombs, rockets, bombs and gunfire.
b. The US M-1 rifle was too accurate and the CCF soldiers were afraid to exchange fire, because the 38 type rifles offered little competition against the weapons used by the UN troops.

PW saw two JOSEPH STALIN-2 heavy tanks, driven by CCF tank operators at HWANGCHORYONG, KOREA on 29 Oct 50. PW heard that those two tanks drove to the rear position after combat activities.

7. UN PsW (HEARSAY)
PW heard that approx 1,000 US troops have been captured by the CCF 43rd and 38th Armies in Northwestern KOREA during Oct 50. The US PsW were sent to MUKDEN, on CCF military train, 28 Oct 50, and they were under the control of the 4th Field Army PW Administration HQ (第四野戰軍 指廣管轄本部) in MUKDEN, MANCHURIA.

8. PANELS:
Every regiment of the CCF units has about 10 white panels, measuring 1 m x 4 m used for unit signal purposes to indicate unit positions to the CCF air forces. When CCF airplanes appear, the white panels are displayed on the ground. If enemy planes appear, a warning bugle is blown and soldiers hide in their fox-holes.

9. SUPPLY:
20 Oct 50, at HWANGCHORYONG (黃草嶺) KOREA, the CCF 124th Div received ammunition supply (about 12 truck loads) from MUKDEN and HARBIN, MANCHURIA.
