PW was cooperative but vague. Information seemed unreliable because he was very unobservant and his replies to questions were often inconsistent.
II NK Corps was composed of the 2nd Div, 4th Div, 9th Div, 10th Div and one other unknown Division.
2nd Div was composed of the 4th Regt, 6th Regt, 17th Regt and one unknown Regiment.
6th Regt was composed of 3 Rifle Battalions.

Conscripted 1 Sep 50 at CHINNAMP'O (YC0791).
Received 3 days of Inf Basic Training at the above mentioned place.
Assigned to the 2nd Bn of the 572nd Unit which was under the National Defense Ministry.
4 Sep 50, PW's 2nd Bn of the 572nd Unit departed from CHINNAMP'O and arrived at PYONGYANG on the same day.
5 Sep 50, PW's 2nd Bn departed from P'YONGYANG by train and arrived at KAESONG after spending two nights on the train.
2nd Bn marched from KAESON, via SEOUL, SUWON, and arrived at IRI (CQl578) o/a 22 Sep 50. PW did not remember place names between SUWON and IRI because they traveled only at nights.
After the 2nd Bn was disorganized at IRI o/a 30 Sep 50, PW with 4 other men travelled northward, passing through mountains, and arrived in the ICHON area o/a 30 Oct 50.
When the 8th lndep Regt of the II NK Corps was organized at ICHON, PW and 4 others joined the unit.
Until 25 Dec 50, the PW did not know that the 8th lndep Regt had been redesignated as the II NK Corps, 2nd Div, 6th Regt, 1st Bn, 1st Co, 2nd Plat when they crossed the 38th Parallel.
The 6th Regt was attacked by UN forces at the 38th Parallel (location unknown), on 26 Dec 50. During the battle, PW was separated from his 1st Bn of 6th Regt and was captured by ROK troops at 271100 I Dec 50.

The morale of PW's 1st Bn, 6th Regt was very low because of constant UN air attacks and lack of combat training. Furthermore, food was very insufficient.
Field telephones and runners were used between Battalion and Company levels.
