Regiment arrived SEOUL 4 Jan 51. 3rd Regt located estimated 4 kilometers northeast of ANYANG CS1641, arrived this area 21 Jan 51. One and 2 Regts left 3 Regt o/a 14 Jan 51 just south of SEOUL, present locations unknown. Location of 8th Div Hq - Heard from squad leader o/a 19 Jan 51 that 8th Div Hq was located just south of YONGDONG-PO.
PW and 2 others of his unit left vic 3 Regt Hqs approximately 242400 Jan 51 with orders to reconnoiter enemy strength. He was ordered to proceed to vic just north of OSAN and report back to Regt Hq within 24 hours. Last night they slept in a house vic of capture. This morning Americans came to the house and in ensuing fight he was captured, one was wounded and captured. Believes one escaped.
