a. Chronology:
30 Oct 50: Inducted into the NK Army at CH’OSAN (楚山) and received 20 days training in the 8th Div Training Bn (250 men).
20 Nov 50: Assigned to the 3rd Sqd, 2nd Plat, Recon Co, 8th Div, and was a sub-machine gunner.
3 Jan 51: Recon Co marched to SUWON (水原) and PW was guarding a road north of SUWON.
21 Jan 51: 2nd Plat went on a patrol to a point 4 km north of OSAN (烏山), and PW was guarding a road when he was captured by a unit of the 25th Div. Two others who were with him escaped.

Each man carried 3 days rations. Riflemen carried 100 rds while sub-machine gunners carried 140 rds. A Plat had about 10 hand grenades.

Elements of the 47th Div (NK) were seen in SEOUL 10 Jan 51.
