a. Chronology:
28 Aug 48: Volunteered into the NKA and assigned to Ind, 1st Bn 3rd Div at HAMHUNG (咸興). Engaged in basic training.
Apr 49: Moved to CH’ORWON (鐵原).
28 Jun 50: 40 men from the 3rd Div departed CH’ORWON for WONSAN.
29 Jun 50: Arrived WONSAN and assigned to the TONGHAE Guard Brig (東海■團), 2nd Bn, 1st Co, 3rd Plat, 3rd Sqd.
28 Jul 50: Departed WONSAN for YOSU (麗水). As they departed WONSAN Brigade redesignated NAMHAE Guard Brigade (南海■團).
25 Aug 50: Arrived YOSU. Guarded the YOSU sea coast.
14 Sep 50: Started to retreat to P’YONGGANG (平康).
10 Dec 50: Arrived P’YONGGANG and assigned to the II Corps Mobile Regt 2nd Bn.
3 Jan 51: Assigned to II Corps, 9th Div, 1st Regt, 1st Bn, 1st Co, 1st Plat, at HWACH’ON (華川), after the Mobile Regt was disbanded.
3 Jan 51 - 16 Jan 51: Advanced up to UIP’UNG (義豊) (37°-34’N, 128°-36’E).
19 Jan 51: Started to retreat.
21 Jan 51: Arrived CHOJON-NI (趙全里). PW sick and could not keep up with the outfit so stayed here until he was captured 24 Jan 51.

Low - Because of lack of food and the cold. (60% of the men had frostbitten feet.)

g. Weapon Feared Most:
Napalm.
