Intelligent but memory poor. Reliability, poor.
a. Chronology:
20 Jul 50: Inducted into NKA, and assigned to Ind Guard Regt under the War Ministry at P'YONGYANG. Received about one month basic training. Fought defense of P'YONGYANG.
27 Nov 50: Ind Guard Regt retreated from P'YONGYANG and arrived MANP'OJIN (滿浦鎭). Three days later 2nd Bn of the Ind Guard Regt with unknown units of unknown strength from MANCHURIA were reorganized and redesignated the 26th Brig. PW was assigned to the 5th Bn, Engr Plat, 1st Sqd as Pvt.
15 Dec 50: 26th Brig received orders to move southward for reconn purpose. About 10 days later 26th Brig arrived at P'YONGYANG. Three days later 26th Brig moved South again following the West coast line. Six days later, 26th Brig reached CHINNAMP'O (鎭南浦). About two days were spent here.
26 Dec 50: 68 men of 26th Brig, 5th Bn crossed to CHODO Island (猪島) for reconn purpose. Unit was attacked by unknown ROK Army and defeated. 20 of the 60 men returned to the mainland.
7 Jan 51: Remaining reconn unit was attacked by ROK Unit and PW with about 20 others was captured.

e. Disposition:
When last observed on 26 Dec 50, the 26th Brig was located at YONGGANG-Gun (龍岡郡) vicinity of CHINNAMP'O (鎭南浦).
f. Intentions:
26th Brig was to attack ROK Units in HWANGHAE-DO (黃海道) area. 5th Bn was to reach the mainland from CHODO Island (猪島). PW stated that CHODO Island was connected to the mainland by mountains.
g. Morale:
Morale was low due to lack of supply and ammo.
h. Replacements:
None after 27 Nov 50.
