1. PERSONAL DETAILS:

2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was very cooperative and talked freely.
Information seems reliable.

3. T/O & E AND STRENGTH:
Ⅱ Corps composed of the 10th, 2nd, 6th, and 31st Divs. And other unknown units.
10th Division composed of the 25th (code: 747), 27th, and 29th Rifle Regts, 1 Artillery Regiment Engineer Bn, Security Plat, Training Bn, and Rear Echelon Unit.
25th Regiment composed of 3 Rifle Bns, Artillery Bn, Engineer Plat, Recon Plat, Signal Unit and Medical Unit, Veterinary Unit, SMG Company, Security Plat, and Rear Echelon Unit.
Each Rifle Bn composed of 3 Rifle Cos, HMG Plat, 82mm Mortar Co, Supply Plat, Medical Plat and Recon Squad.

4. LOCATION AND ACTIVITIES OF UNITS:
PW heard that the mission of the 10th Division was to conduct guerrilla warfare behind the UN Lines. The objective of the 10th Division was to sever roads in the ANDONG (DR7645) Area.
14 Jan 51, the entire 10th Division passed through TAEGANG MYON (DR4683) and headed toward ANTONG. 25th Regiment leading, followed by Division Headquarters Units, Artillery Regiment, 29th Regiment, and 27th Regiment.
PW heard that the mission of the Ⅱ Corps was to conduct guerrilla warfare behind the UN line.

5. PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:
PW conscripted into the NKA 18 Jul 50 at WONSAN (CU6535) and assigned to a replacement regiment located in WONSAN.
On or about 3 Sep 50, PW and approx 1,500 others departed WONSAN by train and arrived at TAEJON (CR5921) 13 Sep 50. Detraining at TAEJON, PW and 1,500 other departed from TAEJON and marched to KOCHANG (DQ0249), arriving at KOCHANG o/a 23 Sep 50.
24 Sep 50, PW and 1,500 others were dispersed when US Forces attacked them near KOCHANG (DQ 0249).
PW joined a group of approx 200 North Korean troops (consisting mostly of troops from the 4th and 9th Divs) and flied north through the SOBAEK Mountain Range (小白山脈), TAEBAEK Mountain Range (太白山脈), via INJE (DT2733), to YANGGU (I/T1117), arriving at YANGGU o/a 13 Dec 50.
PW and one other joined the 10th Div o/a 22 Dec 50 at YANGGU.
10th Div departed YANGGU 27 Dec 50 and marched every night through mountains terrain.
PW and one other deserted the 10th Div at TAEGANG MYON (DR 4683) 14 Jan 51 and were captured by a ROK Unit at SALMI MYON (DR0385) 17 Jan 51.

6. REPLACEMENTS:
All North Korean stragglers which the 10th Div encountered were forced to join the unit. From 22 Dec 50 to 27 Dec 50, approximately 300 stragglers joined the 10th Division at YANGGU (DT1117), Approximately 800 conscripts from YANGGU and WHACHON (CT3718) area were assigned to the 10th Div during the period from 22 Dec 50 to 27 Dec 50 at YANGGU.

7. FOOD AND AMMO SUPPLIES:
Food was procured locally from villages. While marching, 4 days rations were carried by the 10th Div. Food was generally sufficient.
No ammo was supplied. 10th Division was to get ammo by attacking small UN Units. At present this was the only means of obtaining ammo.

8. MORALE:
Morale of the troops with the 10th Division was low because of the intense cold. Approximately 20% of the troops were suffering from severer frost bitten feet.

9. SIGNAL INFORMATION:
PW obtained 5 filed telephones with the 25th Regt.
Messengers were the chief names of communication.
10. EVACUATION OF WOUNDED:
Wounded personnel of the 10th Div were carried on litters and brought along with the Div. Approximately 30 litter patients were with the 10th Division at present, 17 Jan 51.

11. PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE:
