a. Chronology:
21 Jul 50: Inducted into the NKA and assigned to the 71st Regt, 5th Bn, 14th Co, 3rd Plat, 2nd Sqd, at NANAM (羅南).
21 Jul - 30 Jul 50: Basic training.
1 Aug 50: 300 men departed NANAM assigned to the 2nd Div, but could not find the 2nd Div because of the retreat.
26 Oct 50: Assigned to the II Corps, 23rd Div, 4th Regt, 3rd Bn, 9th Co,2nd Plat, 2nd Sqd, at CHAGANGDO (慈江道).
5 Nov 50: Departed CHAGANGDO.
12 Jan 51: Arrived MEP'O-RI (梅浦里). Because PW's feet were frost bitten, remained there.
17 Jan 51: Captured MEP'O-RI.
b. Unit Strength:
15 Dec 50, PW's Bn strength was 150 men: within one month there were approx 40 unable to continue due to frost bite.
