PW had frostbitten feet otherwise in good physical condition. PW was average intelligence. Information considered fairly reliable. Not recommended for further interrogation.
PW held rank of Pvt in CNA. Captured by CCF in Oct 47 at SHENYANG. Assigned to 109th Div, 507th Regt for training. 109th Div divided into companies and battalions and were distributed to various units of the 38th Army. Reassigned to present unit 4 months before entering KOREA. 38th Army entered KOREA approx 4 months ago (Oct 50). 35th Regt arrived 2 km S of place of capture 10 days ago (11 Feb). Here 35th Regt engaged UN forces for 5 days. 6th Co completely annihilated. PW observed 10 WIA, unk number KIA in 5th Co. PW believes 35th Regt casualties of 200 KIA and WIA. PW was captured by 1st Bn, 5th RCT when 35th Regt withdrew to unk location. PW was left behind due to frostbitten feet.

Told to hold positions.
e. Food and Ammo:
Food locally procured. Insufficient (2 meals per day). Ammo insufficient.

heard 40th, 42nd and 50th Armies are in KOREA (location unk).
g. Morale:
Morale low due to lack of food. Majority have no desire to fight.
h. UN Leaflets:
Has picked up leaflets but was not able to read.
i. Broadcast:
Heard broadcast approx 1 week ago. Had no desire to escape for superiors told them that contents of broadcast are lies and PW will be shot immediately upon surrendering.
j. UN PW:
Observed a total of 2000 US & ROK PW vic KUJANG approx 1 month after entering KOREA.
