From 5-9 Feb 51, PW and 19 other wounded were hiding in mountain 20 km N of YONGDOK (ER 3229) where they were captured. Military information limited. Not recommended for further interrogation.
a. Mission: Organize in small units and attack, ROK Police Box and guard posts.

c. Chronology:
16 Apr 50 - Conscripted into NKA at SUKCH’ON
15 Nov 50 - 10th Div reorganized at CHONPANG. Crossed 38th Parallel. Constructed 15 road-blocks enroute. (Location Unknown) Not committed during march south. Route taken unk.
7 Feb 51 - Attacked ONCH’ON MYON (ER 2820) (district) office. Engaged in fire fight with ICIC 0800 to 1000 hr. 25th Regt retreated South. PW was wounded by artillery shrapnel at ER 2820.
8 Feb 51 - Approx 20 wounded led by Plat Ldr (1st M-D-4607) on hill 6 Km W from ONCH’ON
9 Feb 51 - 1600 hr, taken prisoner.

No resupply of ammo, POL, medical or clothing. Secured food from villages, slept in mountains.

10th Div Hq and attached units followed 25th Regt approx 25 km to the rear.
4 Feb 51 heard 27th and 29th Regt were advancing south approx 20 miles W from East coast.
h. Foreign Elements:
Heard CCF set drive across 38th Parallel early Jan 51.
i. Propaganda:
Officers told the men that they will win the war; however, soldiers knew they had but a slight chance, due to lack of manpower and military supplies.
j. Tactics:
Surrounded combat area, attacked during the hours 2200 to 0500 hours. Due to limited ammo supply they were ordered not to fire until within firing range (100-200 meters).
k. Discipline:
PW claims unit under strict discipline at all times. Promotion priority was given those who were leftist.
