1. PERSONAL DETAILS:

2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was cooperative, and talked without hesitation. Info obtained considered reliable.
Length of Service: 3 yr in CNA, 1 yr in CCF.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
30 Dec 50 - 114th Div crossed the 38th parallel.
7 Jan 51 - Div arr HAEGONG-NI (CS 3873). Troops constructed air-raid shelters.
27 Jan 51 - Div left HAEGONG-NI and crossed PUKHAN River eastward to YANGSU-RI (CS 5055) on foot at night.
7 Feb 51 - Crossed HAN River at CS 6944 to south.
9 Feb 51 - Div arr CS 4542.
10 Feb 51 - PW was captured when his Co contacted UN Forces.

b. Intentions:
114th Div was to defend lines south of HAN River in order to give time for Div in rear to re-equip and reorganize for a spring offensive. PW heard that the entire 38th Army was in the vic of CS 4542 at the time of capture.

Code names have never been changed since Div entered KOREA.

f. Supply:
(1) Food: Procured from local villages.
(2) Clothing: One pair of canvas shoes issued at NAEGONG-NI to all members of 342nd Regt between 17 Jan 51 and 27 Jan 51.
(3) Ammo: None received since entering KOREA. Utilized abandoned ammo.

g. Foreign Elements:
Observed two trainloads (10 cars to a train) of Russian troops leaving ANTUNG, MANCHURIA for MUKDEN in Oct 50. All dressed in field uniforms with field packs.
