a. Chronology:
7 May 49 - Inducted at PYONGYANDO, assigned to Ind Transp Unit, 532nd regt. Engaged in combat on NAKTONG River.
5 Jan 51 - Assigned to 7th Div at YONCHON (strength 1,500).
10 Jan 51 - Div dep YONCHON (CT 3118).
15 Jan 51 - Arr HOENGSONG, rested 4 days, and units were deployed E of HOENGSONG. PW became ill at time of dep and sent to Div Hosp. (Situated about 40km E of WONJU) PW suffered from frostbite and headache.
9 Feb 51 - PW unable to escape from Hosp and was captured during UN attack.

(2) Food: procured at villages - rice. 6 days rations of rice carried by each man. 500 grams per day.

Approx 50 men to each Inf Co assigned from the 38th Div at YONCHON.
e. Medical: (obs 15 Jan 51)
250 patients at Div Hosp (40 km E of WONJU). Most suffered from influenza.
f. Quality of troops:
Mostly recruits - 51 recruits and 9 veterans in PW unit.
