261000 Nov 50 ROK 8th Div was attacked and surrounded by the CCF (unit unk) then, 1st Bn (100 men) surrendered out of 4-500 troops captured.

Attitude: Frank and Friendly
Volunteered for ROKA, 15 Jul 50 at TAEGU. Taking Inf basic for 4 weeks with emphasis on the use of the rocket-launcher “BAZOOKA 3.5” reported for duty with the 8th Div, 10th Regt, 1st Bn at YONGCHUN GUN, CHACLUN MYON 22 Aug 50.
26 Nov 50 was attacked and surrounded by CCF units and YONGWAN.

d. Intentions:
Upon departing from YONGWON 1st Bn objective was to occupy WONJU and rest there for about a month. But due to the arrival of UN units, said unit fled to the hills of HOENGSANG GUN, KAPCHON MYON, CHANGUL.

Engr Bn is 6th Div and Engr Co in 1st Regt. Med Bn (200 troops - 50% nurses, 50% aide men) and med Co of 50 troops (20% nurses, 80% aide men).
I. UN PW:
Subject saw one negro soldier with 6th Div (fine and healthy) and one white soldier with 1st Regt (slight wound). Also, he overheard rumors that unknown number of UN PW were taken up north by advance units with plans to indoctrinate them and later release them unhurt to their units.
j. Propaganda:
Approx 10 SK Women’s Corps officers with pistols are utilized for propaganda work in towns and villages. (in 6th Div)

k. Action of ROK PW:
In case 6th Div were attacked by the UN Forces, PW states that 20% of ROK PW would fight, while 80% would attempt to escape to the UN units.
l. NKA holiday:
Since 8 Feb of each year is considered and celebrated as the birth of the NKA preparation are being made by units of this vicinity (as seen by PW). Units are looting villages for food and sake, etc. PW speculated celebration will take place in villages at night.
