Late Aug 50 - Conscripted at CHUNCH’ON and received about 2 wks of military training.
Mid Sep 50 - Both men were assigned to 4th BN, Ind Inf Brig at HONGCH’ON.
25 SEP 50 - 4th Bn, Ind Inf Brig departed HONGCH’ON.
Mid Nov 50 - Arrived CHANGJIN. 4th Bn was then reassigned to 38th Div, 2nd Regt, as 1st Bn (approx. 400 men).
Late Nov 50 - 38th Div departed CHANGJIN.
Late Dec 50 - Div arrive HWACH’ON. Departed immediately with HONGCH’ON as their destination.
10 Jan 51 - 2nd Regt 38th Div arrived HONGCH’ON. The whereabouts of 1st and the 3rd Regts unknown.
11 Jan 51 - 1st Bn, 2nd Regt was ordered to report to 12 th Div CP located at NAMMYONG.
20 JAN 51 - Arrived NAMMYONG.
25 JAN 51 - The 1st Bn (400 men), 2nd Regt, 38th Div was deactivated and all personnel were reassigned to the 1st Regt, 38th Div. PW were assigned to the SMG Co. The members of this Co were issued 300 rd of ammo and 50% were issued PPS-1943 and PPSH 1941 SMG.
1 Feb 51 - The reassigned personnel of 1st Regt departed NAMMYONG to join 1st Regt which was located 20 km S of NAMMYONG.
2 Feb 51- Arrived OKTONG (phonetic, 20 km S of NAMMYONG).
3 Feb 51 - 1st, 2nd and 3rd Bn, 1st Regt were engaged with UN Forces
6 Feb 51 - Deserted at OKTONG NI.
7 Feb 51 - Captured by 8th ROK Div.
