2. ASSESSMENT:
Intelligent and cooperative. Reliability - Fair.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
16 Dec 50 - Conscripted into the NKA at KUMHWA (金化) and received 3 days basic and political training after which PW was assigned to the 7th Co, 3rd Bn, 27th Regt, 10th Div as a Co political officer with the rank of a Jr Lt.
24 Dec 50 - 10th Div moved southward.
23 Jan 51 - 3rd Bn (300 men) of the 27th Regt reached the vicinity of TANCH’ON (丹村) after separating from the 10th Div near ANDONG (安東). It was given the mission of disrupting the transportation system of the UN forces. 3rd Bn and 8th Co were located in CHAEDONG (齊洞) while the 7th and 9th Co were disrupting communication.
2 Feb 51 - 7th and 9th Co reached HUNGDONG (興洞) where they were supposed to join the Bn Hq and 8th Co. While they were having breakfast, they (7th and 9th Co) were attacked by an ROL unit and 11 men, including PW were captured.

b. Disposition:
23 Jan 51 - The 27th Regt was last seen in the area between ANDONG (安東) and UISONG (義城).

c. Intention:
The 10th Div had mission of harassing and cutting the supply line of the UN Forces.

d. Morale:
Low because of shortage in weapons, supply and ammunition. Lacked weapons to fight off air attacks and tank attacks.

e. Evacuation and Treatment of Wounded:
The wounded were treated by the medical platoon of the battalion and moved with the Bn.

f. Supply:
Each man carried 2 days rations and 100 rd of ammunition.

g. Weapons Feared Most:
Strafing.
Napalm bombs and rockets.
Artillery fire.
