a. Chronology:
6 Jul 50: Volunteered for the Volunteer Corps at SEOUL. Received 10 days of training and assigned to 1st Brigade, 2nd Battalion.
15 Sep 50: Advanced to KURYE(木禮) via CH'ONGJU (淸州) and CHONJU (全州) on foot. The advance was slowed by heavy air attacks.
17 Sep 50: 2nd Bn, 1st Brigade was deactivated. Personnel were assigned to 10th Div, NKA. PW did not know whether the entire 1st Brigade or just the 2nd Bn was deactivated. PW assigned NCO training battalion.
o/a 3 Oct 50: 10th Div advanced to KOSONG (固城).
o/a 10 Oct 50: Advanced to KORYONG (高靈). Dug trenches and defended the area.
12 Oct 50: Ordered to retreat.
25 Nov 50: Retreated to CHOMBANG-NI (占方里) through mountainous areas and PW heard that 10th Div received orders from II Corps Hq (by wireless) to cease retreating.
2 Dec 50: One Arty Bn and NCO training Bn were sent to CH'ANGDO (昌道) to defend that area.
7 Dec 50: Arty Bn and training Bn advanced to KUMSONG (金城) (27th Regt was also there) and defended the area. They damaged one 2½ ton US made truck and captured 2 ROK PW. These ROK PW were sent to Div Hq. 27th Regt remained in KUMSONG (金城)
14 Dec 50: Arty Bn and training Bn advanced to KUMHWA (金化) (29th Regt was located there) and defended this area. 29th Regt remained in KUMHWA.
24 Dec 50: Training Bn advanced to HWACH'ON (華川). 25th Regt was located here. Promoted to corporal.
26 Dec 50: 10th Div assembled in YANGGU (楊口)
18 Jan 51: 10th Div advanced to ONGCH'ON (瓮泉). Approx 4 km north of ONGCH'ON (瓮泉), PW dropped from his unit due to a heavy cold and frostbite.
19 Jan 51: Captured by ROK Garrison Unit.

When last observed, 10th Div was marching towards ONGCH'ON ( ) as follows:
h. Intentions:
10th Div was to proceed to TOMI-RI (도미리) and attack ANDONG (安東).

Low: Due to fatigue from marching.

No replacements were received since PW was assigned to 10th Div (17 Sep 50).
k. Supply:
Each man carried three days rations and 80 rounds ammunition for small arms and two hand grenades.
