a. Chronology:
10 Aug 50 - Conscripted at SEOUL and assigned to 3rd Div, replacement Bn.
15 Aug 50 - Replacement Bn, strength, 1,500, departed SEOUL on foot for KUMCHON.
o/a 15 Sep 50 - Replacement Bn arrived KUMCH’ON. But due to UN advance retreated north.
Early Dec 50 - Only 30 men from original Bn arrived CHANGAN DO.
15 Dec 50 - 30 men reassigned to 2nd Div with other remnants who had also retreated here. Strength of 2nd Div: 3,000. Also received winter clothing.
o/a 16 Dec 50 - 2nd Div departed CHANGAN DO, NK, headed south. PW deserted 31st Dec 50 at SUSUKMYON (NW of HONGCHON).
Early Jan 51 - 2nd Div arrived HONGCHON (DS 0272), via KO■ON (DU 4966). ANBYON, YONG■ON, HWACHON (CT 8718). PW deserted and headed for SEOUL.
4 Feb 51: While enroute to SEOUL PW captured.
